Summary: So now we have some legitimate lady vampires leading the charge this time? That's great! Even better, it's heavily implied that this one isn't picky with who might be her eternal lover in vampirism.

History: In Styria, Austria, a young vamp is aching for some action. She goes by Carmilla, and she's looking for love. From another woman no less! Alas, she's got some vampire hunters led by none other than Peter Cushing on her trail as well.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Her attempted conversion of her would-be lover is a failure, and the hunters track her down to her coffin, where she's staked and beheaded.

Powers/Abilities: Aside from immortality, there's slow fading teleportation.

Weakness: Holy objects, stakes, and beheading.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-Make no mistake, this vamp will NOT let much get in the way of her quest for love. She will even kill those in positions of power if it means getting the girl.

Trivia: -This film is based on the 1871 vampire story, "Carmilla". It predates Dracula by more than two decades. Who would have thought?

-Reportedly, Carmilla's actress, Ingrid Pitt, kept having her fangs fall off during poignant scenes. She got around this by securing the fangs to her mouth via chewing gum.
